Last modified: January 18, 2010The Saint Mary’s Women’s Centre presents the play Jane: Abortion and the Underground written by Paula Kamen, adapted by Ruth Vollick. This play is a true story of a women’s health collective in Chicago 1969-1973 about feminists who formed an underground abortion service. The Jane Collective provided over 11, 000 safe accessible abortions to women at a time when abortion was illegal in the United States.Â
